You are warmly invited to spend a pleasant holiday in this delightful cottage  which is full of olde world charm and sleeps 4 comfortably.  The cottage is well presented and appointed and is situated in the quiet unspoilt village of Staplecross, 6 miles from historic Battle – 1066 and all that!  Bodiam is just 1-2 miles away, famous for its historic castle and moat and the Bodiam Station on the Kent & East Sussex Steam Railway!

The cottage is also near to the coastline of Hastings, Bexhill-on-sea, Eastbourne and Camber Sands at Rye

The cottage makes an ideal base from which to explore beautiful East Sussex and the 1066 country (Please see links page for local area websites). There is much to see and to do in this lovely area which will suit all ages and needs.  The village is small and friendly and well provided for with a large well stocked shop which sells the daily papers, milk, groceries and much more (it is also a Post Office).  Across the road is a public house where you will be most welcomed.

There are many pleasant walks near to the village and a little further afield beautiful woodland areas – some with picnic tables.  A short walk from the cottage is a large playing field with children’s play equipment. A short drive away are many tea rooms , pubs and restaurants where reasonably priced meals and bar snacks are available.

The cottage itself has 2 double bedrooms (1 with a double divan, 1 with 2 single divans).  Continental bed-linen is provided free of charge if required – no towels are provided.

Downstairs is a large, all electric well equipped fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, microwave and dining area.  (All electricity used will be charged by meter reading and a 'holding deposit' is requested for this upon booking).

The cosy sitting room has a colour TV. The bathroom has a bath with  shower attachment and there is also a washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage has storage heaters and electric fires (no open fires).

Outside there is a small patio area with a summerhouse and parking for up to 2 cars in the lane.

The cottage is available all year (but is used for our family's holidays too so some weeks may not be available- please ask).

With all lets you are assured of a warm welcome and fresh flowers to brighten your stay.

We are happy to accommodate well-behaved pets (free of charge) but ask that they are not allowed to soil or damage the cottage or furnishings.

For the year 2010, the prices will be between a minimum of £155 (low season) to £355 (high season) per week, plus electricity. Remember, well behaved pets can stay FREE of charge!

There will a £10 discount per week booked for couples.
